Why does my phone make it so hard to turn off Bluetooth? – The Verge

I just love the decisions that Apple makes for you on the iPhone X/iOS 11. Take this Bluetooth story here. The author turns ‘off’ Bluetooth on his phone, but he’s really just putting it into sleep mode.

See, Apple thinks that with their Air Pods, pencil, and other Bluetooth devices that you really don’t want to turn off Bluetooth completely. So it’s always ready for you to connect a device to. How nice of them.

I’m going to stick with my Android phone, where off means off, and I get to make the decisions about what my phone does.

Apple sucks, with their ‘we know better than you do’ attitude about how the phone works, and how you use it.
